The Art of Feminism - Images that Shaped the Fight for Equality

The Art of Feminism charts the birth of the feminist aesthetic and its development over two centuries that have seen profound and fast-paced change in women's lives across the globe. Includes over 350 remarkable artworks, ranging from political posters and graphics to stunning and provocative pieces of painting, sculpture, textiles, craft, performance, digital and installation art. The works included begin with poster images produced by the Suffrage Atelier in the nineteenth century, moving on to developments of both World Wars before arriving at the `birth' of feminist art in the 1960s. More recent artworks describe the development of feminism from the fall of the Berlin Wall to the present day, including examples by Zanele Muholi, Paula Rego, Lenka Clayton, Sethembile Msezane, Andrea Bowers, Tanja Ostojic, Aliaa Magda Elmahdy and Zoe Leonard. Other featured artists include Valie Export, Ketty La Rocca, Ewa Partum, Carolee Schneemann, Sanja Ivekovic, Senga Nengudi, Eva Hesse, Lynda Benglis, Suzy Lake, Barbara Kruger, Sophie Calle, Nancy Spero, Marina Abramovic, Mary Kelly, Judy Chicago, Faith Ringgold and Sonia Boyce. Delivery

Count on 2 to 5 working days before your order is delivered. The actual delivery date depends on PostNL so we cannot therefore tell you exactly when the cards will be delivered. When you order a product over the weekend, the order will be processed on Tuesday. The order will be delivered at the earliest on Wednesday.

Cancelling an order
You cannot cancel an order. You will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail after placing and paying for your order. Your order is then also immediately sent to the printer.

Returning an order
You cannot return individual art cards. They have been printed especially for you, with your text and address. You can return card sets or other products subject to conditions.

Please contact our Customer Service Department before returning an order, so that we can serve you more quickly.

When to return?
A right-of-return period of 14 days applies to orders and it is effective from the first day after the day on which the product was delivered. Unless otherwise stated, you are entitled to inspect, appraise and/or try the product(s) during this period.

After you have received your order, please immediately check the item(s) for any damage and incompleteness. If you see any damage or incompleteness, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible.

If you are not satisfied with an item, you can return it. This does not apply to discounted products. You can return items:

  • within the right-of-return period of 14 days
  • if the item is incomplete
  • in its original state and factory packaging – insofar as this is in fairness possible
  • Some items cannot be returned. Here it concerns:
    • products that have been tailored to your specifications
    • items that are clearly of a personal nature or which cannot be sent back due to their nature
    • products for which the seal has been broken

Always keep a copy of dispatch just in case the items returned do not arrive at their destination.

How to return a package
Check whether the item, any associated accessories and the original packaging are, where in fairness possible, still intact and in their original state.
Ensure that the package is wrapped properly, so that the item arrives at our address undamaged. Put the following address on the return packaging:

Post your package at a post office and make sure it has sufficient postage. Small packages can also be posted directly in a post box. You must pay the costs of return yourself.

You will receive the purchase amount, including the costs of dispatch to you, as soon as possible and no later than 30 days. This term starts at the moment that you return the items or when you indicate that you wish to return them. Damaged products cannot be refunded, unless the product is returned because of damage found upon their receipt.
